In simple words, web hosting refers to the space in the cloud on which your site runs. Web hosting stores the data for your website or blog. You’ll be learning how you can get your domain name and the web hosting now from below:
Step by Step Tutorial on How To Create a WordPress Blog
So here are the exact steps that you need to follow for starting your first blog.
Step 1: Go here and click on ‘Get Started!’ Button
Step 2: After this, you’ll be taken to the page where you’ll need to choose a plan amongst the 3 plans, I’d recommend you to choose ‘Hatchling Plan‘ (one website) or Baby Plan (multiple websites) depending upon your needs. If you’re brand new to this, just choose the hatchling plan and later on you can always upgrade.
FREE Domain Name for 1 Year: Normally, you need to pay separately for your domain name and web hosting. However, In this case, you’ll be getting a 100% FREE Domain name for 1 year.
Step 3: Now, in this step, you need to choose your domain name i.e. your website’s name. Be sure to choose it wisely and also it should be relevant to the topics that you’ll be posting the blog posts on. I would recommend you get a .com domain only which should be selected by default and also I’ve noticed that a .com domain is better for ranking your websites on google.
Step 4: Choose your Hosting Plan, now what period should you select? ‘12 month‘ period of billing cycle is what I am gonna recommend you to get as with it, you get an instant 55.87% off and also I’ll be telling you about a coupon code that’s gonna allow you to get an additional 60% off (which makes it 55.87% + 60% Off deal). After this just fill in the details regarding your Username and security pin. Next you’ll need to fill up your personal details.
In the next step, you can uncheck all the boxes, later on when you start getting some traffic on your website, you can always get them. Initially, I wouldn’t recommend you to check any of the boxes. It should look like this:
Step 5: Get an additional discount right now by applying coupon code ‘SHARED3660’, check the agreement box, and make the payment.
Step 6: Once the payment is completed then, Click on ‘Hosting‘ and go to ‘Get Started with WordPress’. Then select your ‘Domain’ that you just bought and you’ll be redirected to the next page.
Step 7: In the Blog Title, just give the name that you’d like to give to your website. For example, if it’s Passiontorise123.com, then you can name it ‘PassionToRise123’ (I know this name sucks, but you get what I mean 😛 ), Next enter admin user, this is the ID that you’ll be using to log in to your WordPress account directly and then enter your First and Last Name and click on Install.
This will install WordPress on your website.
Step 8: Once WordPress has been installed onto your website, you’ll be sent an email like this to your email address which’s gonna have all the login details including your user name and the password. Just like the screenshot shown below.
You’ll be provided with the link that you can use to log in to your WordPress account and operate your website. Log in to your WordPress account via the admin URL which should appear like – ‘yourwebsite.com/wp-admin’, after this just enter your login id and password and you’ll be taken to the WordPress website.

This is because blog posts with longer content get better rankings as compared to the posts with short content. I have installed another WordPress plugin called – ‘Classic Editor‘ which makes adding photos and writing text easier, so if the above page looks different from yours, it’s mainly because of the plugin.
If I Copy Content and Paste It Would It Rank On Google?
No, your content won’t rank if you’ve copied it from somewhere. Also, this may negatively affect your site’s performance since google prefers to rank sites higher that produce unique content.
